A day after leading the Minnesota Vikings to victory in his first career NFL start, rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater sat out of practice with an ankle injury, according to The Star-Tribune.
Bridgewater left in the fourth quarter of the Vikings' decisive 41-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon. X-rays and an MRI showed no further damage to his ankle.
Christian Ponder took first-team reps in practice, with practice squad pivot McLeod Bethel-Thompson serving as his backup.
