Kyle Orton: Will Start Week 5

Orton will start Week 5 against the Lions.

Analysis:

Coach Doug Marrone will sit EJ Manuel and his scattershot arm on the bench for at least a week. We're sure the Bills aren't giving up on Manuel, but this is a team with an excellent running game and a good defense, and Marrone must want to see if Orton can give them a boost. Manuel hasn't been terrible, but he's become too reliant on check-downs, has trouble in the red zone, and misses his mark too often. OK. So he's been kind of terrible. Orton has a pretty tough challenge ahead, facing a strong Lions defense in Detroit, but if he performs decently, the journeyman may just be able to hold onto the job for a bit.
