Evans is expected to be out two or three weeks after suffering a groin strain Sunday, FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports.

Analysis:

Evans injured his groin while running a deep route Sunday, forcing him into an early exit against the Steelers. Before suffering the groin strain, he recorded 65 yards on four catches and scored his first career touchdown. Nonetheless, the Buccaneers' rookie first-rounder will now be sidelined at least a couple weeks, which could lead into Tampa Bay's Week 7 bye. Until then, recent signing Louis Murphy could enjoy an expanded role, especially after coming up with a team-leading six catches (on 11 targets) for 99 yards in his Buccaneers debut Sunday.
