Every Monday and Friday, theScore's NFL editors will bring you a roundup of everything you need to know from around the division with the AFC West Notebook.

San Diego Chargers

Chargers dominate after slow start. Despite an uncharacteristically slow start, the Chargers rebounded nicely on both sides of the ball en route to a convincing 33-14 victory over the Jaguars on Sunday.

Rivers earning MVP consideration? Building on his productive 2013 season, Philip Rivers has been one of the NFL's best quarterbacks through four games in 2014 and may earn himself consideration for MVP honors if he can continue the pace.

Defense continues to shine. As good as the Chargers' offense has been to start the season, the play of the defense has been just as much of a factor in their 3-1 start. They came through once again on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs

Charles probable to play. After returning to practice this week, Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is expected to be back in action Monday night, giving the offense a significant boost against a weak Patriots run defense.

Berry ruled out. The Chiefs will be at a disadvantage on the defensive side of the ball, however, as they will be without safety Eric Berry in a matchup with a Patriots passing attack poised for a breakout game.

Fans look to set record at Arrowhead. With the atmosphere certain to be electric for a Monday night game against the Patriots, Chiefs fans at Arrowhead Stadium will attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records mark for crowd noise in an outdoor stadium.

Lost rookie season propelling Kelce to success. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is emerging as a playmaker in the passing game, and has used a rookie season lost to injury as motivation in his return.

Oakland Raiders

Raiders lose in blowout. The Raiders' opening drive touchdown seemed to get them off to a good start, but a poor performance from then on would see the game quickly turn into a rout, losing 38-14 to the Miami Dolphins.

Carr dealing with ankle and knee injuries. Forced to leave the game after going to the ground awkwardly in the third quarter, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been diagnosed with both a high ankle sprain and a sprained MCL.

Reece embarrassed by Raiders' play. Following Sunday's loss, fullback Marcel Reece said that the team's performance was "embarrassing to our fans."

Allen's job may be in jeopardy. After four straight losses to start the season, several in blowout fashion, the Raiders could look to move on from head coach Dennis Allen during the upcoming bye week.

Denver Broncos

Broncos' slow start a result of competition. While the Broncos haven't yet played like the dominant team they were throughout 2013, much of their apparent slow start can be attributed to the tough competition they've faced thus far.

Talib fined for elbow. While he insists that it was not intentional, cornerback Aqib Talib was fined $8,268 for throwing an elbow in the Broncos' Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Manning visits his alma mater. With the Broncos on their bye in Week 4, quarterback Peyton Manning was in attendance for Tennessee's game against Georgia on Saturday.
