Oliver has been told to expect more work this Sunday against the Jaguars than he received in Week 3 at Buffalo, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Analysis:

With the injuries to Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead, Oliver is slated to serve as the primary backup to Donald Brown on Sunday and has been told to be ready for more than the six reps he received last week. Oliver is considered a power back and will likely only step in whenever Brown needs a rest. The newly acquired Shaun Draughn is still learning the playbook and is not expected to make much of an impact on the field yet.
