Jerry Jones on Cowboys: 'We need to be glanced at over here'

The Dallas Cowboys were written off by most pundits prior to the start of the regular season and owner Jerry Jones was happy to play down expectations, but now that the team has gotten off to a 2-1 start, Jones wants eyes back on his squad.

Asked about his thoughts on the Cowboys being a darkhorse contender for the postseason, Jones had this to say on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM).

"I think we've shown some things that would cause you to hold up in discounting us," Jones said. "That's an awkward way of saying that we should be looked at out of the corner of people's eye. We've got it to do, though. We've got to put it together with putting the right people on the field as it relates to injury, and that's happening for us."

Jones also noted that the team is expecting to get a number of players back from injury on the defensive side of the ball, including Henry Melton, Rolando McClain and Anthony Spencer.

"Yeah," Jones said. "We need to be glanced at over here."
