Carson Palmer: (Shoulder) Intends To Play In Week 5

Palmer (shoulder) intends to suit up in Week 5 against the Broncos, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. After Wednesday's practice, the quarterback said, "The plan is to be firing on all cylinders at least by Wednesday of next week."

Analysis:

Palmer took the requisite first step by throwing 10-to-15-yard passes Wednesday, albeit in a restrained manner. If he progresses as planned, he believes that he can be a full participant in next Wednesday's practice, with playing at Denver "part of the timetable." Until the nerve issue in his shoulder is behind him, though, Drew Stanton will remain the acting starting quarterback in Arizona.
