AFC North Notebook: Dalton stays on his feet, Pitta suffers dislocated hip, Manziel almost pulls off a trick play

Every Monday and Friday, theScore's NFL editors will bring you a roundup of everything you need to know from around the division with the AFC North Notebook.

Cincinnati Bengals

The offensive line is keeping Andy Dalton on his feet. The Bengals improved to 3-0 on the season with a Week 3 shellacking of the Tennessee Titans. Dalton completed 15-of-23 passes for 169 yards, and the Bengals remain the lone NFL team that hasn't given up a sack this season.

Andy Dalton channeled his inner Calvin Johnson. Dalton, not satisfied with just tossing the pigskin, caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from the arm of wide receiver Mohamed Sanu. It was the first QB touchdown catch in team history.

Mohamed Sanu is the man with the golden arm. Sanu's touchdown pass was the lone trip to the end zone through the air for the Bengals on Sunday. Sanu is a career 4-of-4 for 166 yards and two touchdowns while throwing the football for Cincinnati.

Baltimore Ravens

Dennis Pitta dislocates his hip... again. Pitta, the Ravens starting tight end, dislocated his right hip for the second time in a year during the team's Week 3 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens fear Pitta suffered a fracture to go along with the dislocation, would likely mean the end of his season.

Harbaugh defends team's handling of the Ray Rice situation. The Ravens head coach (kind of) addressed the ESPN Outside the Lines report that said he recommended the team cut Ray Rice in February, saying that he felt like the organization handled the situation the right way.

The Ray Rice saga is becoming a TV special. The Reelz network will air "Ray Rice: Celebrity Bad Behaviour," a half-hour TV special chronicling the disgraceful domestic violence incident that will likely end the running back's career.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Shazier suffers a sprained MCL. Steelers rookie linebacker Ryan Shazier reportedly sprained his MCL during the second quarter of the team's Week 3 win over the Carolina Panthers.

LeGarrette Blount trying to trademark "Blount Force Trauma." The Steelers running back, who rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries against the Panthers, filed for the semi-wretched trademark "Blount Force Trauma."

Bell runs roughshod over Panthers. Running back Le'Veon Bell rushed for 147 yards, including a gigantic 81 yard scamper in the third quarter. Bell and Blount are the first two Steelers running backs to rush for over 100 yards apiece since Walter Abercrombie and Earnest Jackson in 1986.

Cleveland Browns

Manziel pulls off a trick play... almost. Johnny Manziel headed to the sidelines to "have a discussion" with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, before darting down the field and making the wide open 39-yard reception against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The play was negated by an illegal shift penalty, and later deemed illegal by the league office.

Pettine blames himself for loss to Ravens. Leading 21-20 late in the fourth quarter, the Browns failed to eat up any clock with their late possessions and eventually fell 23-21. Head coach Mike Pettine blamed himself for the loss, saying "We didn't coach well enough to win today."

Gordon 'very thankful' for reduced suspension. Wide receiver Josh Gordon, who saw his suspension reduced to 10 games after the NFL announced it's new drug policy last week, released a statement about how thankful he is about the reduction.
