Report: Dolphins 'irate' about defensive game plan vs. Chiefs

The Miami Dolphins fell to 1-2 on Sunday, and many of their defensive players were furious about the game plan.

Players are 'irate' about Dolphins defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle's strategy, according to the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley.

“I mean, it’s tough,” Dolphins linebacker Jelani Jenkins said after the game.

“We just have to make the adjustments.”

The Dolphins never looked ready against the Kansas City Chiefs, and dropped 34-15 against an ailing squad without star running back Jamaal Charles.

“We’re not playing well enough over the last two weeks to win a football game in the National Football League. It’s hard to say, but that’s the facts," Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said Sunday.

If the New York Jets defeat the Chicago Bears on Monday night, the Dolphins will be alone at the bottom of the AFC East.

Miami began the season on a promising note, upsetting divisional rival New England in Week 1. However, the team may get some welcome relief with a game against the winless Oakland Raiders in Week 4.
