Report: Redskins' Robert Griffin III could return in 5-6 weeks

The Washington Redskins remain hopeful Robert Griffin III will return this season, and possibly before the team's Week 10 bye.
Griffin's targeted return continues to be five-to-six weeks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, a timetable consistent with the quarterback's original diagnosis.
The Redskins are expected to gain even more clarity on Griffin's status when his MRI results are examined by a specialist in "a few more weeks," according to a previous report. Griffin suffered a dislocated left ankle in the Redskins' 41-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.
Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins filled in admirably against the Jaguars, completing 22 of his 33 passes for 250 yards with a pair of touchdowns.
