Giants' Victor Cruz knew he made it when LeBron tweeted about him

It didn't take New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz long to make an impact in the NFL.

The undrafted free agent out of UMass had a three touchdown game in the preseason of his rookie year, and it was then that he knew he made it, but not because of his play on the field.

Asked by For The Win about the moment he knew he broke through, Cruz had this to say:

I think it had to be my rookie year during my first [preseason] game as an NFL athlete, scoring three touchdowns and LeBron James tweeting about me. That was the point where I said, “man I’m here, I've arrived, this is the real deal.

Cruz has gone on to establish himself as one of the top wide receivers in football over the last three seasons. Maybe a future in pro scouting with an NFL organization is in the cards for LeBron.
