DA open to discussing plea deal with Adrian Peterson

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The district attorney of Montgomery County, Phil Grant, is open to discussing a plea deal with Adrian Peterson, per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Grant notes that a trial likely wouldn't occur for six months and it could take up to 18 months for the case to conclude entirely.

Peterson's lawyer Rusty Hardin has already stated that they hope to take the case to court, but with the running back to likely sit until everything is resolved, they could decide to reconsider.
