Jerome Simpson: Released By Vikings

Simpson was released by the Vikings on Thursday, Tom Pelissero of the Associated Press reports.

Analysis:

The Vikings have opted to jettison the troubled wideout, after news of another arrest emerged Thursday. Simpson is currently serving a three-game suspension, but with an arraignment scheduled for Nov. 3, his legal proceedings will be the primary hindrance to latching on elsewhere. It would surprise if he played a down during the 2014 season.
