Official maintains Kaepernick used inappropriate language vs. Bears
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick said he plans to appeal his fine for inappropriate language, but the official who threw the flag stands by his call.
Side judge Laird Hayes told CSNBayArea.com that he heard Kaepernick say something inappropriate against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
“He knows what he said,” Hayes said. “It was the right call.”
Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston, who the comment appeared to be directed at, said he didn't hear anything.
Kaepernick was fined $11,000 on Wednesday.
