Although he's still being slowed by a nagging hamstring injury, New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker is still hoping to suit up for the team's Monday nighter against the Chicago Bears.

“I can’t give you a timeline,” Decker said on Wednesday (via ESPN). “I can just tell you that right now, every day I am going to try and do a little bit more and see how it feels, and keep at it, whether it’s a strengthening program, or a stretching program, whatever they have for me, and we are going to be smart with it. But, I want to get out as soon as I can for my teammates, so I am going to obviously make a smart choice, but try to get out there.”

Decker, who signed a lucrative deal with the Jets in the offseason, suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of the Jets' Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The two-time 1,000-plus yard receiver has racked up nine receptions for 137 yards and a touchdown in two games this season.
