Adrian Peterson's lawyer on latest child abuse accusation: 'Authorities took no action'

Adrian Peterson's lawyer, Rusty Hardin, discredited the latest accusation his client faces involving the alleged abuse of a four-year-old son.

"The allegation of another investigation into Adrian Peterson is simply not true," Hardin said (via ESPN's Adam Schefter). "The allegation is more than one year old and authorities took no action. An adult witness admittedly insists Adrian did nothing inappropriate with his son."

Peterson, who was indicted Friday for reckless or negligent injury to a child following an incident involving a different four-year-old son, allegedly left a scar on the boy's head while punishing him for cursing at a sibling.

The Vikings issued a statement (via The Star Tribune) regarding the latest accusation:

As part of the information we have gathered throughout this process, we were made aware of an allegation from 2013 in which authorities took no action against Adrian. We will defer any further questions to Adrian’s attorney Rusty Hardin
