Texans run roughshod over Raiders

The Houston Texans' defense absolutely suffocated the Oakland Raiders en route to a dominant 30-14 victory on Sunday.

Here's what you need to know...

  • Arian Foster turned in a vintage performance, rushing for 138 yards and a touchdown, including a 40-yard scamper that set up the Texans' first trip to the end zone.
  • Defensive end J.J. Watt, normally a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks around the NFL, had the first touchdown reception of his career.
  • Raiders receiver James Jones fumbled the ball twice on one play, causing the team's Twitter page to throw a little shade his way.
  • Raiders rookie pivot Derek Carr completed 27-of-42 passes for 263 yards, with two interceptions and a touchdown. He added another 58 yards on four carries.
  • Oakland had a pair of lost fumbles to go along with Carr's INTs.
  • Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a solid, mistake-free afternoon, completing 14-of-19 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown.
  • The win improves the Texans' record to 2-0, while the Raiders remain winless at 0-2.
