Steve Smith to Panthers: 'Hey, if you (expletive) think I can't play, you're gonna find out in Week 4'

Wide receiver Steve Smith had a fantastic debut for the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, hauling in seven passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.

It was a vintage Steve Smith performance, one punctuated by a direct challenge to his all-too-familiar Week 4 opponents: the Carolina Panthers.

"Hey, if you (expletive) think I can't play," Smith screamed on a clip aired on NFL Turning Point Wednesday (via Black and Blue Review), "you're gonna find out in Week 4, (expletive)!"

Smith, the Panthers' franchise leader in receptions, receiving yards and touchdown receptions, was released by the team in March, and famously promised that there would be "blood and guts everywhere" the first time he faced his old team.
