One of the NFL's least durable running backs over the past several seasons is hurt. It's not even halftime yet.
Ben Tate, playing in his first game with the Cleveland Browns, suffered a knee injury in the second quarter of his team's season opener vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tate was announced as questionable to return.
Terrance West, the Browns' third-round pick in May, will take over as the team's primary ball carrier. He'll be a very hot waiver wire pickup this week if Tate's injury is revealed to be serious.
Another name to keep an eye on in deeper fantasy leagues is Isaiah Crowell. The undrafted rookie, who sits third on the Browns' depth chart at running back, has tremendous raw talent but character concerns.
