San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh reiterated his stance on domestic violence during an appearance on KNBR radio Tuesday, telling the station the team has "no tolerance" for any form of abuse.

"I'll be very clear," Harbaugh said on the Murph & Mac show, per Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee. "You're asking me how I feel about domestic violence, I can be very clear on that: If someone physically abuses a woman and or physically or mentally hurts a child, then there's no understanding, no tolerance for that."

Harbaugh's comments came in response to the situation surrounding 49ers defensive tackle Ray McDonald, who was arrested Sunday on felony domestic assault charges.

According to a police report, McDonald was involved in an altercation with his pregnant fiancee, after which he was arrested when his fiancee showed officers bruises on her arms and neck.

Harbaugh made it clear that any players involved in domestic violence incidents would no longer be welcome on the team, but said the legal process must be "concluded" before the 49ers make a decision on McDonald.

Under the NFL's new personal conduct policy, if found guilty, McDonald would be subject to a six-game suspension.

McDonald's next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 15.
