Sam not named to Rams practice squad; reportedly reached out to by CFL's Alouettes
As expected, defensive end Michael Sam's name was nowhere to be found when the St. Louis Rams officially announced their practice squad on Monday. Yet the 24-year-old Missouri product may be getting an offer from north of the border.
By the way, the @MTLAlouettes of the #CFL own the rights to DE Michael Sam. They have reached out to him, no word yet though.

Although Sam had a productive preseason (recording three sacks in four games), the Rams' considerable depth at defensive end ultimately made him expendable.
