Dolphins' Mike Wallace says Mike Wallace is always open

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace joined the club on a five-year, $60-million deal last spring. He was, by all accounts, a bust, and his critics let him know it.

"It comes with the territory," Wallace said, via CBSSports.com. "People have a job to do. Fans watch the game how they watch it. I can't worry about any of that. I just have to go out and keep grinding."

Wallace worked hard to better himself in the offseason, and he feels new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor's system better fits his talent and will give him an opportunity to make plays all over the field, rather than just running go routes.

"I just do what I am asked to do," Wallace said. "People can say whatever they want. They just need to watch the film. I am always open. You can't be open and not know how to run routes. I know what I can do. This offense gives me the chance to run every single route in the route tree. I get to move around. I like the speed of the offense."

Wallace caught 73 passes for 930 yards and five touchdowns in 2013.
