Browns' Joe Thomas on Brian Hoyer: 'He's a lot like Tom Brady'

There are many interesting quotes uttered throughout training camp, but perhaps none more so at this point than Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas' take on quarterback Brian Hoyer. 

"He's a lot like Tom Brady,'' Thomas said at training camp Monday via cleveland.com.

Surprisingly, Thomas wasn't referring to the fact that they both played for the New England Patriots from 2009-2011, or the fact that they both play the same position.

"When you look at the way he competes and the way he demands the most out of everybody around him, it's no coincidence that those guys played together.  (Hoyer) has a lot of those same mental attributes and that's a great thing for a quarterback to have."

It seems Hoyer's teammates are strongly rooting for him to win the job over Johnny Manziel, but comparing him to a three-time Super Bowl winner and a future Hall of Famer may be a bit much.
