Report: 49ers' Boone won't report to camp on time without new contract

Reuters / Jeff Haynes

San Franciso 49ers guard Alex Boone is looking for a new contract, and he's reportedly willing to sit out the beginning of training camp in order to get it.

Boone, who started every game for the 49ers over the last two seasons, has two-years left on his current contract that is scheduled to pay him $2-million in 2014, and $1.2-million in 2015.

Under the current rules of the CBA, the 49ers can fine Boone up to $30,000 for every day of training camp he misses.
