Meet the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Jadeveon Clowney, pass rush specialist out of South Carolina and a new member of the Houston Texans.

The Texans are getting a rare athlete in Clowney. The consensus best player available is the type you don't find in every draft. Some analysts have described him as a "once-in-a-generation" player.

Clowney will easily step in as a starter for the Texans and will likely line up beside J.J. Watt in the team's 3-4 defensive scheme. The pair should give opposing offensive coordinators nightmares.

Clowney's mix of size and strength is unrivaled in this class, and he figures to give offensive tackles nightmares for years to come. His quick first step puts blockers on their heels and keeps them off balance on a consistent basis. Clowney uses a variety of different pass rush moves to get into the backfield and should have no issue significantly raising the sack totals of the Texans.

What makes Clowney so special is that he is more than just a pass rusher. He uses his speed to knife into the backfield to stop running backs in their tracks. He's very difficult to block because Clowney is simply too quick and easily avoids double teams and pulling linemen.

Clowney is the first defensive player selected with the first pick in the draft since the Texans made Mario Williams their choice in 2006.
