The Pittsburgh Steelers brought Ohio State linebacker and first-team All-Big Ten selection Ryan Shazier into the fold.

The Steelers have Jason Worilds and Jarvis Jones as edge rushers in their 3-4 scheme, so Shazier could find himself playing on the inside, which he is more than capable of.

Shazier is a tackling machine, totalling 115 in 2012 and following that up with 144 last season. He moves well from sideline to sideline and has shown the ability to hold his own in pass coverage. Shazier's blitzing skills will be a huge asset for Pittsburgh as he has displayed a knack for timing them up well at the line of scrimmage, leading to seven sacks in 2013.

Many scouts note Shazier's strong character and high football IQ as reasons he should be a safe pick, and some have compared him to Tampa Bay Buccaneers standout Lavonte David.

If Shazier turns into a player with similar production to David, then the Steelers have found themselves a steal.
