The most pro-ready offensive tackle in the 2013 draft class is headed to the Atlanta Falcons.

With the No. 6 pick in the draft, the Falcons selected former Texas A&M left tackle Jake Matthews. The top prospect should immediately step into a starting job in Atlanta, and there's every reason to believe he'll serve as an offensive line anchor for the next decade.

The big question then becomes the health of left tackle Sam Baker. If Baker is fully recovered, the Falcons could keep him there and use Matthews on the right side of the line. If they no longer trust Baker to hold down the left side of then Matthews has the ability to start at left tackle right away.

Matthews started 46-of-49 games in his college career. He's a two-time first-team All-SEC selection and a 2013 first-team All-American.

Matthews' pedigree is impressive. He's the son of Hall of Fame offensive lineman Bruce Matthews and the cousin of Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Casey Matthews.

While Matthews may lack the raw physical upside of a few other prospects in his class, he makes up for it with tremendously strong fundamentals. He looks like he's been playing in the NFL for years, despite never having played a down in the league.
