First team All-American wide receiver Mike Evans will be a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after being selected with the No. 7 overall pick.

With the Buccaneers, Evans will line up opposite Vincent Jackson and form one of the NFL's most physically imposing wide receiving corps.

Evans was the favorite target of Johnny Manziel during their days at Texas A&M and the former Aggie should make Josh McCown (or whoever quarterbacks the Buccaneers in 2014 and beyond) very happy. Evans entered the draft following a standout sophomore season in which he caught 69 passes for 1,394 yards and 12 touchdowns. At 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, Evans brings a ton of size and a proven ability to fight for the ball in the air.

After redshirting in 2011, Evans registered 151 receptions for 2,499 yards and 17 touchdowns during his two seasons of action with the Aggies.

Evans has good, if not top-end speed (he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds at the combine; Brandin Cooks was the fastest wideout at 4.33) and showed his skill as a big play receiver, averaging over 20 yards per reception in 2013.
