With the Bears signing Oakland Raiders defensive end Lamarr Houston on Tuesday, the writing was on the wall for Julius Peppers.

The Bears attempted to trade Peppers but with a cap hit of over $18 million it comes as no surprise that they were unable to find someone willing to take on the 34-year-old.
