Report: Eagles' Darby to miss 4-6 weeks after dislocating ankle

Geoff Burke / USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a dislocated ankle, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports, citing sources.

The good news for Darby and the Eagles is that he didn't suffer any major ligament damage, according to Rapoport.

Darby went down in the second quarter of the Eagles' 30-17 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

The 23-year-old was shipped to the Eagles from the Buffalo Bills in August for receiver Jordan Matthews and is expected to play a key role in Philadelphia's secondary this season.
