Larry Fitzgerald: 'There will be no tears' when I retire

Everywhere Larry Fitzgerald goes, questions about retirement follow.

He and his Cardinals teammates gathered in Arizona this weekend for the start of training camp and reporters were waiting for an update on just how long the 13-year veteran plans on playing.

"I feel good right now. When that changes, I'll let you know but it will never be in front of a podium," the receiver said, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.

"And there will be no tears and none of that stuff. That's now how ever it'll be," Fitzgerald added. "That's not how I am. I'm just one player out of 1,600 in the National Football League and it's a lot bigger than me. It's never going to be like that."

Fitzgerald has never been one to wear his emotions on his shoulder. Even after some of his most thrilling plays, the celebrations that follow are rather tame.

It will be no different for his retirement announcement.
