Watch: Marty Bennett dresses as Batman, Santa to promote kids' literacy

The NFL's most creative tight end is teaming up with YouTube Kids for its global #ReadAlong month initiative to improve children's ability to read.

Martellus Bennett, who released his own kids book last year, started things off by dressing as Batman, Santa Claus, and a dinosaur to spread the word on how children can expand their reading with the YouTube Kids app. The above video is the first of a YouTube playlist that will allow children to read stories online or through the app.

The campaign began Thursday and will include many more collaborators than the Green Bay Packers tight end, according to a press release.

YouTube's #ReadAlong month is an international campaign in June that features top entertainment brands such as Universal's Despicable Me Minions and book publishers such as HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and National Geographic Kids. All collaborators have created digital content to help the next generation of kids to not only learn how to read but to also help them enjoy the activity.
