Texans' Zach Cunningham: Going to Houston
The Texans selected Cunningham in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 57th overall.
Analysis:
It's not clear if the Texans mean to move on from Brian Cushing or instead plan to ease Cunningham onto the field, but here is who will likely be starting next to Benardrick McKinney no later than 2018. Like McKinney, Cunningham is a super-athletic former SEC standout, running the 40 in 4.67 seconds at 6-foot-3, 234 pounds while posting a 125-inch broad jump. After making 16.5 tackles for a loss in 2016, Cunningham has the look of a potential IDP standout once he gets a three-down role.
