Panthers' Curtis Samuel: Second-round pick for Panthers
The Panthers selected Samuel in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 40th overall.
Analysis:
Even with running back-wide receiver tweener Christian McCaffrey as a first-round pick, the Panthers took another crossover threat in Samuel, who is also one of the most elusive ball carriers in the draft. There might not be a big enough 2017 role for Samuel to make a fantasy impact as a rookie, but his speed (4.31-second 40) and diverse skill set make him a good candidate to emerge as a fantasy factor in his second or third year. The Panthers offense, in any case, will be much faster in 2017.
