Watch: Foster says 49ers called him while he was on phone with Saints

Reuben Foster slid down to the end of the first round, but suddenly found himself a hot commodity.

The Alabama linebacker revealed Friday that he was on the phone Thursday with the New Orleans Saints, who held the 32nd pick, expecting to head to The Big Easy - only to discover the San Francisco 49ers had other ideas.

San Francisco traded up with the Seattle Seahawks to make sure it got Foster at No. 31. The Saints, quickly forced to go in a different direction, selected offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk.
