Lions' Jarrad Davis: Drafted 21st overall by Detroit

The Lions selected Davis in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 21st overall.

Analysis:

Davis dealt with injuries in college but was otherwise a dominant performer on one of the nation's best defenses. Davis showed 4.6 speed at the Florida pro day and excellent jumps (38.5-inch vertical, 129-inch broad jump), so as long as he stays healthy the tools he showed on film should translate into an effective NFL starter. Whether he's an IDP factor in 2017 is simply a matter of the play count he earns.
