Dolphins add Charles Harris in 1st round
Jasen Vinlove / USA TODAY Sports
The Miami Dolphins have selected defensive end Charles Harris out of Missouri with the 22nd pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Cameron Wake turned 35 in January, so it's vital for the Dolphins to get younger at edge rusher. Harris is an explosive player whose stock seemed to rise in the days prior to the draft.
Charles Harris Bio:

Strengths
- Scheme versatile edge player who can contribute either a 3-4 or 4-3 front.
- Demonstrates an explosive get-off to gain a positioning advantage on opposing offensive tackles.

Weaknesses
- Lacks size and strength to be relied upon as an early-down run defender.
- Doesn't have a power element to complement the speed-rush skill set.
- Athletic profile compiled from combine workout numbers doesn't necessarily match the athleticism he demonstrated on the field.
