Sherman reports for workouts, Seahawks GM says team 'moved past' trade talks

Richard Sherman is back in the building and it continues to look like he won't be going anywhere.

After being absent for the beginning of offseason workouts last week, the Seattle Seahawks cornerback reported to the team's facilities to take part Monday, general manager John Schneider announced, according to Liz Mathews of USA Today.

Asked about the trade talks surrounding his star defender, Schneider took another step in downplaying the possibility of a deal before admitting that the Seahawks would still take potential calls.

"Right now we've kind of moved past it," Schneider said, via Mathews.

Sherman being back in the mix so quickly, and the admissions from both player and team that a trade was always a long shot, speaks to the likelihood that he'll remain with the Seahawks in 2017.

Unless a team blows them away with an offer, that is.

One way or the other, given that the Seahawks were reportedly holding out for a package that included a first-round pick, we'll probably have an answer by the end of Thursday night's draft festivities.

Seattle will pick No. 26 overall in the opening-round primetime event.
