Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said Friday he wants some clarity on the Marshawn Lynch situation before the NFL draft begins on April 27.

"At some point, you would like to know. Prior to the draft is that point," McKenzie said, according to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

However, McKenzie added that the draft isn't a concrete deadline to acquire Lynch, and that a deal could still happen after, according to Gehlken.

Lynch and the Raiders need to rework his contract before trade talks can begin with the Seattle Seahawks, who still own the veteran running back's rights.

It was reported last week that Lynch and the Raiders were closing in on a deal, but there's been no significant developments since then.

The 30-year-old runner visited the Raiders' facility on April 5, and head coach Jack Del Rio said Friday "every indication is he (Lynch) is excited to play for the Oakland Raiders," according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez.
