The Houston Texans have selected Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson with the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft after acquiring the selection from the Cleveland Browns.

The Texans traded the Browns a 2018 second-round pick to get rid of Brock Osweiler's contract. They traded the Browns their first-round pick in this year's draft (No. 25) and their 2018 first-round pick to move up for Osweiler's replacement.

Watson is considered a natural-born leader who led Clemson to a National Championship in his final season of college ball, throwing for 420 yards and three touchdowns against Alabama's vaunted defense.
