Falcons' Julio Jones: Progressing with rehab

Jones is progressing well in his recovery from last month's surgery to remove a bunion from his foot, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "Julio is doing good," head coach Dan Quinn said at the owners' meeting last week. "He had surgery on his foot. That part is coming along really well, the strengthening of his toe and foot. Like most surgeries, the first part is the healing and then comes the strengthening. He's starting to get into the strengthening phase."

Analysis:

During any public appearance, Quinn and Jones himself can expect to be queried about the state of the wideout's health, despite the knowledge that a 4-to-5 month rehabilitation is expected. Consequently, there's little chance of Jones making an appearance during the offseason program, so these little tidbits of information will likely dominate the process as he aims for 100 percent capacity by the commencement of training camp.
