Sherman: 'There is no bad blood' with Seahawks over trade talks

Like his general manager, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is openly discussing the fact that he's on the trade block.

The MMQB's Albert Breer reached out to Sherman for comment a day after Seahawks GM John Schneider said on the radio that recent rumors about a possible trade are true, and the four-time Pro Bowler said the same thing.

"Very little chance it happens, but both sides are listening," Sherman told Breer. "I honestly don't have much more to say about it than what I've already said. We have a great relationship. … There is a lot of love and respect. There is no bad blood."

It's a fascinating situation for a number of reasons, but primarily because NFL teams are rarely so open when it comes to discussing trades - particularly involving superstar players.

The Seahawks have made it clear every player has a price and that they will trade Sherman if their price is met. It's a refreshingly honest stance.

It's also interesting to see Sherman take it all in stride. Other players might be angered or hurt to see their name floated in trade talks. Sherman seems to be neither.

As for the possibility the Seahawks are bluffing and are merely trying to send him the message that he's not irreplaceable, Sherman shrugged it off.

"Not at all. I'm not in the least bit concerned about that," he told Breer.
