Malcolm Butler isn't feeling very appreciated.

With the New England Patriots paying free agent Stephon Gilmore a lucrative five-year, $65-million deal and reportedly trying to acquire Richard Sherman, Butler is "not over" his team's interest in other cornerbacks, a source told CSN's Michael Giardi.

Butler is a restricted free agent who has yet to sign his first-round tender and was reportedly offered a lesser deal than Gilmore's a year ago.

Despite his displeasure with the team, the cornerback is keeping his head in the "right place" and plans to prove his worth, wherever he ends up in 2017, adds Giardi.

Butler has been a solid player for the Patriots since vaulting himself to fame at Super Bowl XLIX, making the Pro Bowl in 2015 and earning second-team All-Pro honors in 2016.
