Jerry Jones: Elliott's latest incident 'unfortunate and not good'
Jerry Jones doesn't seem pleased with his star running back's recent off-field behavior.
The Dallas Cowboys owner wouldn't go into detail, but did briefly express that sentiment while discussing the incident in which Ezekiel Elliott pulled down a woman's shirt at a St. Patrick's Day parade.
"There is not much that I want to say other than that was unfortunate and not good," Jones said at the league meetings this week, according to The Dallas Morning News. "It wouldn't be the right emphasis one way or the other to get into any communications or dialogue since that happened."
When asked again if he'd talked to Elliott, Jones wouldn't budge.
"Again, that wouldn't be the right emphasis to imply," Jones said. "I wouldn't want to say on communication, but I'm aware of the incident and I'm aware of the criticism."
Meanwhile, the NFL is still investigating domestic violence allegations brought against Elliott by his ex-girlfriend, a process that carried on throughout his rookie season and remains without any sort of update.
Jones has stood by Elliott in that regard, stating "there is just nothing" to the claims.
Elliott led the NFL in rushing yards in 2016 after joining the Cowboys as the No. 4 overall pick in last year's draft.
