Bengals asking NFL to open season at home

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

Since drafting the dynamic duo of Andy Dalton and A.J. Green in 2011, the Cincinnati Bengals have yet to play a season opener at home. They'd like that to change in 2017.

The Bengals have requested that NFL schedule-makers end the string and provide them a Week 1 home game, team owner Mike Brown said Wednesday.

In fact, the Bengals last hosted their opener in 2009. Cincinnati has gone 4-3 in Week 1 since the start of the decade.
