Seahawks' Carroll doesn't see Sherman trade happening

Richard Sherman's name has popped up as a possible candidate for trade, but his head coach sees the talk remaining just that.

"I don't see anything happening at all," Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said, according to reporters at the NFC coaches' breakfast in Arizona on Wednesday.

Sherman has since laughed off such talk, but general manager John Schneider gave credence to the rumors on Tuesday, stating the team is all ears when it comes to offers and scenarios.

Sherman has spent his entire six-year career in Seattle, where he has vaulted into the upper echelon of cornerbacks. He played through injury to suit up in all 16 games last season and register four interceptions.
