Zimmer: 'No idea' if Bridgewater will play in 2017

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday he still has "no idea" if Teddy Bridgewater will play in 2017, a day after the quarterback was seen in a video throwing for the first time since sustaining a knee injury, according to Chris Tomasson of Pioneer Press.

"There's no timetable. When he's ready, he's ready," said Zimmer, according to Tomasson.

Zimmer added that the young pivot comes up once a month to Minnesota for a week of rehab, and he's started running on land and is working on building strength, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Bridgewater is recovering from a torn ACL that also involved other structural damage to his knee. The Vikings traded for Sam Bradford to fill the void at quarterback, and Zimmer said the Vikings can't plan for the future of the position until Bridgewater is cleared to return.

"There is really no other plan until (Bridgewater) gets healthy,'' said Zimmer, according to Tomasson.
