Dalvin Cook: Reunion with Winston would be 'special'

Dalvin Cook and Jameis Winston shared the backfield for one special season at Florida State in 2014. Now, Cook is set to enter the NFL and he's open to a reunion.

While Cook has spent the past two years gashing college defenses, the quarterback has taken the reins of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"Being in the backfield with him, it would be something special. I feel like we started to grow a bond at Florida State, so it would be something special," Cook said Tuesday of potentially being drafted by the Buccaneers, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.

Together, Winston and Cook led the Seminoles to an undefeated regular season and a trip to the Rose Bowl in 2014.

"Jameis is a player that I look up to as a role model," Cook said.

The Buccaneers own the 19th pick in the first round of the draft. Cook is projected to be selected on the first night, but a number of teams in need of a running back sit ahead of Tampa Bay.

With Doug Martin still serving a suspension for violating the league's drug policy, the Bucs may look to address the position in the draft. Martin also required a stint at rehab.
