Sherman has 'no problem' with Lynch playing for Raiders

Marshawn Lynch remains property of the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks remain Super Bowl contenders.

Seattle corner Richard Sherman has heard the rumors that his former teammate might return to football to play for his hometown team: the Oakland Raiders. Such a move would require a trade or his release.

Though Lynch would be playing for another team instead of aiding the Seahawks in their quest for another championship, Sherman said he has no issue with Beast Mode in Oakland.

"He's from the town, so that's like going home for him," Sherman said Friday on "First Take," according to Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.

"It'd be like a basketball player growing up in L.A. and saying, 'I'm going to play for the Lakers one day.' It's probably something he's always wanted to do since he was a kid, so we've got no problem with that."
