Peppers: 30 teams see me as safety, 1 as linebacker, 1 as offensive player

USA TODAY Sports

NFL teams can't quite agree on what position Michigan's Jabrill Peppers should play in the pros.

At the Wolverines' Pro Day on Friday, Peppers said he's been told by 30 teams that they see him as a safety, the position he played in college, according to MLive's Nick Baumgardner.

One team sees Peppers as a linebacker and another sees him as an offensive player.

The highly athletic, but largely unpolished Peppers worked out with both the defensive backs and linebackers at the scouting combine.

Peppers added that not one team has expressed concern over how he should be used in the NFL.

At least eight NFL head coaches were reportedly on hand for Michigan's Pro Day, an abnormally large figure. It could be an indication that Peppers is one of the draft's most desirable prospects, even if not everyone agrees on exactly where he should play.
